Fineline Hoof trimming Technologies was officially formed in 2019. We have been in the trimming industry since 1982. After having used most of the chutes offered in North America, I began dreaming of options that would eliminate frustrations associated with the industry. I began developing my own equipment in 2011 in my own shop with limited tools. I began to see what could be done with equipment to change and reduce labour and difficulties in the industry. Those changes involved hot dipped galvanized chutes, as well as upgrades in hydraulic capacity.  In 2019 I partnered with professional Hydraulic and Electrical technicians as well as fabricators to redesign my efforts into reproducible equipment that would meet CSA electrical safety ratings.  We chose to go stainless steel with machined nylon bushings to eliminate the need for greasing and maintenance.  

            Located in the heart of Southern Ontario’s dairy region, we are able to field test our equipment in real time as trimming is still my primary occupation. I have been trimming since 1998 and know the wear and tear that this job has on the body.
